Poshan Pakhwada is an annual nationwide campaign under the Government of India’s Poshan Abhiyaan (National Nutrition Mission). Observed for two weeks, it focuses on creating awareness about nutrition, healthy eating practices, and the importance of maternal and child health. The campaign involves activities such as community meetings, awareness drives, health check-ups, and demonstrations of nutritious recipes. It aims to strengthen grassroots participation by involving Anganwadi centres, schools, self-help groups, and local organizations.

The 2026 edition emphasized themes of balanced diets, prevention of anemia, promotion of kitchen gardens, and the role of community engagement in achieving the vision of a “Malnutrition-Free India.”
