The Labour Commissioner Nagaland has notified for the general information that the following Trade Unions registered under Section 8 of the Trade Unions Act, 1926 are found to be defaulting / non-functional and hence are liable for deregistration by the Registrar of Trade Union.

1.      Dimapur Motor Workers Trade Union, Dimapur

2.      Dimapur Auto Rickshaw Owners Union.

3.      Dimapur Land Transport Workers Union.

4.      East Dimapur Purana Bazaar Labour Trade Union.

5.      Dimapur Taxi Drivers Union.

6.      Dimapur Cycle Rickshaw Pullers Union.

7.      Dimapur Truck Drivers Union.

8.      Kohima District Land Transport Trade Union, Phesama.

The department informs the defaulting Trade Unions as to why the Registrar of Trade Union should not initiate deregistration process under Section 10 of Trade Unions Act, 1926. Any Trade Unions that intend to resume its activities and avoid cancellation must submit a formal intimation to the Registrar of Trade Union within 30 (thirty) days from the issue of this notification.

Failure to respond within the stipulated period shall result in the initiation of necessary proceedings for cancellation of registration as per relevant provisions of the Trade Unions Acts and Rules.
