In view of the upcoming 80th Independence Day Celebration to be held at District headquarter, Mon, a co-ordination meeting was convened by Deputy Commissioner Mon, Wennyei Konyak on 16th July 2026 at Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner Mon, where works distribution for the I/Day was carried out successfully. The DC requested all the HoDs to co-ordinate with one another for the smooth and successful conduct of the 80th Independence Day Celebration.

The meeting also decided to conduct a mass social work on 8th August 2026 at Mon Town.
