Deputy Commissioner Peren, Hiazu Meru in an order stated that in pursuance of the Chief Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Officer Peren, the order of the ban on the slaughter of pigs, import of pork, and transportation of pigs into Jalukie Valley issued vide 25th April 2026 is lifted with immediate effect.

However, DC also directed all pork vendors, butchers, traders, transporters, and consumers to strictly maintain robust biosecurity measures, to produce transit challans as and when required and also to produce quarantine history documents. DC Peren further directed to obtain and present a health Certificate from the competent veterinarian and to adhere strictly to hygiene protocols prescribed by the department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services.

DC also informed to report any unusual sickness or death of pigs immediately to the concerned officials of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services.

Failure to comply with the prescribed guidelines shall invite appropriate action under the relevant provisions of the law, stated DC Peren.
