On the second day of Mon Landslide Rescue Operation team headed by District Administration, DEF, SDRF 42 AR Mon, Civil Societies, Volunteers from all the Wards retrieved 2 (two) death bodies on 20th July 2026 at Defence Colony, Thamnan Ward Mon,  identified as Taotun 52 years, Male S/o, Yeihpha, Oting Village and Lunglei, 13 years, male, S/o, Longme from Pongkong Village, both from Thamnan Ward, 3 (three) injured identified as Chawang 10 years Male, Nonngam, 34 years, Female and Yenai, 36 years, male, all from Thamnan Ward, Mon. Search and rescue operations are still under way.
