The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Peren, has issued a public advisory following a major landslide at Beilikui Ward, Peren Town, triggered by continuous heavy rainfall over the past few days. The landslide has completely blocked the road, severely disrupted normal movement and posed a risk to nearby infrastructure.

The District Administration has urged all residents and commuters to remain vigilant and observe necessary safety precautions. Citizens have been advised not to travel through the affected area until road-clearing operations are completed and to avoid unnecessary travel, particularly during periods of heavy rainfall.

The advisory also urges the public to maintain a safe distance from steep slopes, embankments and other landslide-prone areas, monitor official weather updates and strictly follow instructions issued by the District Administration and other competent authorities.

Residents have further been requested to ensure the safety of children, elderly persons and persons with disabilities and to promptly report any fresh incidents of landslides, flooding or emergencies to the nearest administrative office, police station or emergency response team.

The District Administration stated that it is closely monitoring the situation and taking all necessary measures. Citizens have been appealed to remain calm, cooperate with authorities, and refrain from spreading unverified information on social media.
