Following severe damage along National Highway-02 (NH-02) between Chuchuyimlang village and Unger village, the Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS, has issued a comprehensive travel advisory. The New Traffic Regulations are now in force until further notice to guarantee the safety of commuters and maintain uninterrupted traffic flow.

Commuters are advised to follow these specific route diversions based on their destinations:

Mokokchung Town to Tuli (To and Fro): All vehicles must travel via the Mokokchung Town – Impur Junction – Longjang – Kelingmen – Tuli route.

Mokokchung Town to Chuchuyimlang Village (To and Fro): Traffic is diverted via the Mokokchung Town – Impur Junction – Yisemyong – Mongsenyimti – Chuchuyimlang route.

Mokokchung Town to Changtongya Town: One-way traffic heading to Changtongya must take the Mokokchung Town – Impur Junction – Longjang – Kelingmen – Unger – Akhoya – Changtongya Town route.

Changtongya Town to Mokokchung Town: One-way traffic returning to Mokokchung must use the Changtongya Town – Unger – Unger Local Ground – Chuchuyimlang/ Kelingmen Junction – Mokokchung Town route.

The district administration requests all commuters to strictly adhere to these regulations and cooperate with on-duty authorities. Travelers are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution and stay updated on any further safety instructions.
