Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa has notified that Special Intensive Revision (SIR) will begin from 5th August 2026 for every eligible citizen to include in the Electoral Roll, while every ineligible entry will be identified and removed.

During the initial SIR Process, the Booth Level Officer will undertake House -to-House visit from 16th August 2026 to 14th September 2026 for distribution and collection of Enumeration Form (EF), to facilitate timely verification of the Enumeration Forms by BLOs. All Electoral are requested to keep ready a recent Colour Passport Size Photograph for affixing on the Enumeration Forms, which is mandatory. This will help ensure timely and accurate completion of the Enumeration phase. No documents will be required to submit during this phase.

If any assistance is required for filling of Enumeration Forms, the electors are requested to approach the Booth Level Officer or call District Helpdesk at District Election Office Tuensang HQ, where official will be available to guide and assist you in filling the forms correctly.

After the draft publication of the Electoral roll on 20th September 2026, the electors may check the details of your name, date of birth, relative name etc from the copy of E-roll provided to your BLO, If any eligible person is left out or details of electors are inaccurate, voters may file for claim or objection through form 6 or 8 (whichever is applicable) along with the declaration form during the Claims and Objection period (i.e from 20th September 2026 to 20th October, 2026)

During the Notice phase (20th September to 18 November 2026) the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) will issue notice to identify and detect anomalies or discrepancies in the Electoral records. Electors receiving such notice are informed to respond promptly and keep the requisite supporting documents ready for verification.

Further all the Administrative Officers, Ward Authorities, Village Council, Village Development Boards and all the concerned citizens are requested to give wide publicity on SIR Activities/ processes, also advised all to remain available during the House-to-house visit and extended corporation to BLO for smooth and successful conduct of the Special Intensive Revision.
