With the announcement of the Bye- Election to fill the casual vacancy in the 14 Southern Angami I Assembly Constituency in Kohima district, Nagaland by the Election Commission of India through a press note No. ECI/PN/67/2020 dated 29th September 2020, and in pursuance of the Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland Press Release No. ELE/CDT-99/2020 dated 29th Sept., 2020, the Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Gregory Thejawelie NCS has informed to all concerned that the Model Code of Conduct comes into force with immediate effect throughout Kohima district except for the areas under the Kohima Municipal Council other than Ward No. 5 Kitsubozou (Chotobosti) which falls under 14 Southern Angami I Assembly Constituency. The political parties, intending candidates, government departments/establishments and general public are informed to take note of the same and adhere strictly to the model code of conduct and extend cooperation to the district election machinery to ensure peaceful conduct of the said bye-election.
