Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie, NCS has informed all the interested NGOs/Charitable Institutions that the Government of India has liberalized OMSS (Open Market Sales Scheme) policy for the year 2021-22 with an objective to make Wheat/Rice stocks easily available in open market under the fixed rate as under:-

  1. Wheat- Rs. 2100/- per qntl, i.e, Rs. 21 per kg.
  2. Rice - Rs. 2200/- per qntl, i.e, Rs 22 per kg.

The DC has therefore informed that interested NGOs/ Charitable Institutions can tie up with the Office of the Food Corporation India, Nagaland to avail the scheme.

The notification was issued in pursuance to the Directorate of Food & Civil Supplies letter No. DS/PDS/OMSS/2021-22/261 dated Dimapur the 19th June 2021.
