Free rice was issued to residents of Vankhosung and its adjoining areas to the PMGKAY (AAY & PHH) ration Card holders on 28th April 2020.

Chairman, Vankhosung Community, Sukumo Patton and Secretary,Yentsao Enni who distributed the rice stated that under community initiative, daily wage earners and construction workers residing within the community were also given relief ration to assist them to tide over the lockdown period.

On earlier occasion, Self Help Group, Sharon VLO Wokha village, Vankhosung also distributed free rations that included Rice, Potatoes and Canned fish products to the elderly persons and needy families in and around Vankhosung. The VLO office bearers led by its president, Mrs, Lireni Kikon also visited and delivered the ration items to the aged citizens at their homes.
