NSDMA SURVEYS DIGITAL RISK MAPPING AT PHEK  

The team of Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (Home Department) has undertaken 3D Hazard Digital Risk Mapping of Phek district headquarters as part of the surveyed exercise on 2nd June 2023.

Sources said that the team which comprised of young lady professionals Sosinle Seb, Widunbiliu Zeliang, and Ajiukam Zeliang, exercised a survey of the district headquarters Phek and identified the potential risk areas as well as the vital installation of government and non-governmental facilities. It said that the survey covered eleven wards and three villages in the Phek district. It said that data collected will help more for both pre and post-disaster assessment.

It also informed that in the next phase of the survey, NSDMA will be carrying out UAV operations, to collate the ground and aerial data to make the 3D Hazard print of the districts including Phek.
