District level coordination committee meeting led by district National Tobacco Control Programme was held on 7th October at deputy commissioner's conference hall at Zunheboto. 

DC, Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo, while speaking at the meeting, congratulated the two villages, Natha New, Sheipu and SBAK, Nito Mount mission centre, on being declared a tobacco free zone. He further urged the churches and NGOs to spread awareness through all possible means under their capacity, about the harmful impacts of tobacco and work together in making our place, a tobacco free district. He also appealed to the leaders present from villages to co-operate with the authorities so that, more places can be declared as tobacco free zones.
