ODD-EVEN SCHEME TO BE ENFORCED IN KOHIMA TOWN  

The Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Shanavas IAS has in a notification informed that in preparation for the upcoming G-20 Summit and in the interest of public convenience and as per the decision taken during the Regional Transport Authority meeting dated 31st March 2023, the odd-even scheme under section 115 of the Motor Vehicle Act for all commercial vehicles (two & four-wheeler taxis, pick-ups/Tata Mobile, Buses) shall be enforced in Kohima town on 4th & 5th April 2023 from 6:00 AM till 9:00 PM as given under:

1.            Vehicle with registration numbers ending with an odd digit (1,3,5,7,9) - 4th April 2023

2.            Vehicle with registration numbers ending with an even digit (2,4,6,8,0) - 5th April 2023.

Further, it is to be noted that violators if any shall be penalized under section 179 of the Motor Vehicle Amendment Act 2019.
