Few Fair Price Shops under Dimapur district has performed beyond their capacity specially during this pandemic. Acknowledging the tireless and selfless efforts made by the Fair Price Shop owners and also to encourage the fellow FPS dealers, the Food and Civil Supplies Dimapur district along with the District Administration Dimapur awarded the District Level Best Performance Award 2021 to Toshi Aier, FPS, Naga Colony, Dimapur, Village Council FPS, Padum Phukuri, Village Council FPS, Thahekhu Dimapur on the occasion of 75th Independence Day Celebration at DDSC Stadium Dimapur.

It may be mentioned that the department of Food and Civil Supplies introduced Electronic Point of Sale (ePOS) device in each and every FPS in the state for effective and transparent distribution of food grains. This device helps the beneficiaries to know the quantum of food grains allocated for each person and the amount of money to be paid. The device is Aadhar based and is generated using biometric system.
