PAIWANG KONYAK CALLS ON UNION MINISTER SONOWAL

P. Paiwang Konyak, Minister for Transport, Civil Aviation, Railways and Land Resources called on Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Govt. of India, Sarbananda Sonowal on 23rd November, 2021 at his Office, New Delhi.

During their meeting, Konyak appealed to the Union Minister for implementing the Inland waterways projects in the State (Tizu-Zungki River which has been declared as National Waterway-101 by the Government of India). He also mentioned that comprehensive DPRs were prepared by M/S WAPCOS and the proposal has been submitted in the Ministry for sanction.

The Union Minister had given assurance that the project will be taken up in the present financial year and asked the State to send the top priority proposals within a short time.

Minister Paiwang had said that he will submit the top priority project list within a week time in the Ministry.
