Garib Kalyan Sammelan, an interaction of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi with beneficiaries of public welfare schemes was live telecasted at Town Hall, Peren, and about 350 beneficiaries witnessed the live event. 

The event was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Peren, Sentiwapang Aier, and was also attended by officials from District Administration, HoDs of line departments, and public leaders.
