The 73rd Indian Republic Day was celebrated in Dimapur at DDSC Stadium with ceremonial unfurling of the national flag by the Minister Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue, Parliamentary Affairs, Neiba Kronu. He delivered the Republic day speech and inspected the March past contingents led by Parade Commander, APC Dimapur, Ninoto I Zhumomi, Parade 2 i/c ABI, Solokath RHQ Dimapur. Four parade contingents took part in the March Past. 

The program included a special number by Nungshiyanger Imsong & Co followed by inauguration of exhibition stalls by the special guest. The day ended with beating of retreat by 15 IR (Mahila)
