In Longleng, 73rd Republic Day was celebrated with Temjen Imna Along, Minister for Higher Education & Tribal Affairs as the special guest at local ground, Longleng.

The special guest read out the Republic Day speech, unfurled the National Flag, inspected the ceremonial parade and took the national salute from 3 (three) parade contingents comprised of the DEF, Longleng; 12th NAP (IR), Chingtok and Village Guards.

The highlights of the celebration were inauguration and inspection of exhibition stalls, inauguration of District Static Soil Testing Laboratory at the office of District Soil Conservation Officer, Longleng and later Imna also visited Yingli College and interacted with the faculty members.
