Joining the rest of the country, Niuland district celebrated the 73rd Republic Day at Niuland public ground, with Minister PHED, Jacob Zhimomi as the special guest for the occasion.

On arrival, Jacob Zhimomi unfurled the tri-colour National Flag, inspected the parade and took salute from the parade contingents.

Other highlights of the program included entertainment items by Maa Tujhe Salaam by Alino K. Chishi; Choreography by Sumi Baptist Church, Niuland; Cultural Fusion by Shepherd Montessori School, Speech by Vipeni, Shepherd Montessori School; special number by Reginald Hughes Memorial School and drama by Lutoli and Tosheni.

More colors were added to the program with cultural items including Gorkha dance, Folk song (women) by Medical colony Niuland and Folk dance (Men) by P. Vizheto Village.

Later, the special guest also inaugurated the exhibition stalls.
