Additional Deputy Commissioner, Tizit, Pakon Phom, in an order stated that a land dispute between Jaboka and Yannu Village over Konhoa Area occurred on 18th August 2021 resulting in damaged to paddy fields, burning of shacks, huts and cutting down of plantation crops and trees. He added that there are sufficient grounds for promulgation of the prohibitory order U/S 144 Criminal Procedure Code, 1973 for maintaining public safety and peace &tranquility in the Sub-Division.
Therefore, the ADC has ordered U/S 144 Cr.P.C of 1973 prohibitory order enforcing the following:
Gathering of more than five persons at a time in public or private places is prohibited.
No movement of public.
All vehicular movement of non-essential nature including passenger vehicles is prohibited.
The Order will however be exempted in respect of District Administration, Police, Para Military Forces, Magistrate on Duty, Doctors and Medical Staff and persons engaged in emergency services. In addition, all movement of essential commodity will be exempted.
The order is passed exparte U/S 144 (2) Cr.P.C and will come into force with effect from 0600 Hrs of 19.08.2021 and shall remain in force till further Orders.
For the violation of the aforesaid order, if anyone found guilty, he/she will be liable for punishment under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code.
Scheduled of the Areas: 2 (two) Km stretch from Loakho Village junction to Longting Village.
