Sensitisation programme on Scholarship Scheme was held on 16th September 2021at DC’s Conference Hall, Noklak

Speaking on the occasion, DC Noklak Hiazu Meru stated that, we are living in an age of Information Technology and all our working system is based on Information Technology, Therefore, all of us specially the teachers need to be updated and know what is happening around us and advised the teachers to be well-equipped and update skills.

Seeing the economical challenges in the district, Hiazu Meru said that, this is an important schemes for the students of the district. DC opined that, many parents and students may not be aware of the schemes and hence requested the teachers to reach out to all the eligible students. Hiazu Meru also encouraged the teachers to be pro-active and plan well while applying for scholarship schemes and should upload on time.

Hiazu Meru expressed that, such kind of seminar is very important and hoped that, the seminar will be helpful and beneficial for all the trainees.

UDA (Scholarship) Jangsemba Tsudir spoke on Guidelines & Criteria on Scholarship. He mentioned that, the objective of scholarship, pre-matric scholarship schemes for minorities and schedule tribe students of IX & X is to encourage parents to send their school going children to school, lighten the financial burden on school education and sustain their efforts to support their children to complete School education.

He also emphasized on networking system, Banking and Aadhaar cards where everything is in online and digital. He also dwelt on dos and don'ts while working on applying for scholarship. He encouraged the institutional Nodal officers to enroll all the beneficiaries who are eligible for the schemes.

Special Educator, Zurhetho Nyuthe, in his Powerpoint presentation explained in details on how to apply scholarship through online mode of both fresh and renewals. He advised the trainees to read all the guidelines properly before applying for online. While presenting Zurhetho Nyuthe also mentioned on Pre-matric scholarship scheme for Minorities and Pre-matric scholarship for scheduled tribe students studying in Class IX & X.

The programme was chaired by Sub-Divisional Education Officer W.Nzanbemo Humtsoe and vote of thanks was delivered by Sub-inspector of School, Noklak B.Ngon.

Seminar was organized by SDEO Office, Noklak and sponsored by Directorate of School Education. More than 44 trainees attended the training from both government and private schools under Noklak district.
