As a noble gesture to the community, the medical department led by CMO office Kohima is undertaking the NCD screening under Social Health Responsibility Campaign in urban colonies of Kohima district. The campaign was held today the 17th March 2022 at New Market Panchayat hall, Bayavü sub-center, Midland Panchayat hall, and Lower Chandmari Panchayat Hall.

During the campaign, the colony authorities mobilized the age group of 30 years with known or unknown co-morbid status, pregnant women, and 30 years of age with the known co-morbid disease for NCD screening and medical intervention. The identified patients were screened for non-communicable diseases, co-morbid diseases and were given free medication through National Urban Health Mission.

In this regard, the CMO Kohima has requested all the ward chairmen/authorities to cooperate and take responsibility in their respective colonies as per the session plan for the successful conduct of the campaign.
