Whereas, it is considered necessary to hold fresh election to Ward 11 (Zhipa) of Pfutsero Town Council, Phek district in accordance with Section 30 of the Nagaland Municipal Act 2023 following the casual vacancy that has occurred therein as notified by the Government vide Notification No.MA-20/2024/227 dated 14th August 2025.
And whereas, the Government vide letter No.MA-20/2024/279 dated 10th September 2025 has conveyed Administrative Approval of the Election Programme for conduct of election to the said Ward (Unreserved).
Now therefore, in exercise of the relevant provisions under Rule 20 read with Rule 81 of the Nagaland Municipal Election Rules 2023, the 'Election Programme' for conduct of fresh election to Ward 11 (Zhipa) of Pfutsero Town Council is hereby notified as per the schedule given hereunder:

ELECTORAL ROLL
The Electoral Roll for the election shall be the Roll with reference to 01.01.2024 as the qualifying date and finally published on 12.04.2024 along with subsequent amendments, if any, made thereto as per Rule 14 (1) of the Nagaland Municipal Election Rules 2023.
MODEL CODE OF CONDUCT
With the announcement of the Election Programme through this publication, the Model Code of Conduct (MCC), as contained in the Model Code of Conduct for the guidance of Political Parties and Candidates and adopted by the State Election Commission, comes into operation with immediate effect within the Pfutsero Town Council jurisdiction, including the Ward area going to poll, and will remain in force till the completion of the election process.
The MCC shall be applicable to all Candidates, Political Parties in the Town Council jurisdiction as also the State Government with respect to the observance of MCC guidelines in the jurisdiction concerned.
