State Level Youth Festival in Guitar Recital, Quiz and Essay Writing competition was held at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima with Keoshu Yimkhiung, Advisor Youth Resources and Sports as the special guest on 21st April 2023.

Addressing the gathering, the Advisor said it was a great honor and privilege to be in the midst of all the young participants who had come from different disciplines, in order to take part in this competition and that participating itself was an achievement. The participation should be memorable and a learning experience irrespective of the outcome of the competition, and that many of the youths keep up everything so easily and many of them become irresponsible after facing failure or success. In this regard, he said that the sky is the limit for those who struggle for the best avenues lie ahead, “the person who take every step as a new challenge in a positive prospect with self-dedication and devotion are the person who reaches its destiny,” he added.

He urged all the congregations to support each other in every possible way to promote and take forward young generations to greater heights in the near future, “We all must take responsibility not an obligation to nurture our young and upcoming generations if we all want to see our society move forward,” Advisor said.

The closing programme was attended by Anthony Ngullie, Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, YRS as the special guest. The Secretary said he believed that the participants have done their best in the competitions and thanked the officers and participants from all the districts and hoped there will be more participation in the future as the festival is a regular programme of the department and that the department will give platform in a much better way in the coming years.

The winners of Quiz competition were- 1st Kohima, 2nd Dimapur and 3rd Mokokchung, Essay competition 1st Keviseto Mekro, Kohima; 2nd Imolemla Mokokchung and 3rd Atoli N Sumi, Kiphire and in Guitar Recital, 1st Position went to Kohima, 2nd to Phek and 3rd to Tuensang.

The closing programme was chaired by Vineikholie, YRO and vote of thanks was delivered by Libemo Jami, YRO Wokha
