STATE ROUNDUP ON COVID-19 LOCKDOWN

The daily report on Law & Order and Facilitation of Essential Goods & Services stated that four violations of the lockdown were reported and as remedial step, seven persons were bound down as on 17th June. This was informed by Joint Secretary, Hiazu Meru and he added that no Law & Order incident has been reported in the State.

The report added that shops for essential goods including milk remain opened in all the districts. The report also maintained that no shortage of essential commodities have been reported in any part of the State. It added that no movement restriction was imposed for the distribution of essential commodities and on e-commerce agents.

According to the report, suitable arrangements have been made for providing food and shelter to migrant workers affected by the COVID-19 restrictions. In this regard, one relief camp and one food camp are active where seven daily wagers/needy persons were provided food/dry ration.
