Abhijit Sinha, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government of Nagaland issued the report on Law & Order and facilitation of essential Goods & Services for the 7th of April 2020. 9 violations of the lockdown was reported. Remedial steps were taken against the violations and 9 people were bound down. No FIR was lodged and no arrest was made. Also, no law and order incident has been reported in the State.

According to the report, shops for food grains and groceries were opened in all the districts. In Mokokchung, shops continued to be regulated and in Kiphire, shops open on alternate days. Shops for milk and medicine were also opened in all the districts of the State. No shortage of food grains, groceries, milk and medicines have been reported in any part of the State.

On essential services, manufacturing, distribution & e-commerce, no restriction was imposed on the movement of commercial vehicles for distribution of essential commodities and service providers like electricity, telecommunication, fuels etc. in the State. In Dimapur, permits were issued to vehicles transporting essential commodities and retail shops opened from 9 AM to 2 PM and wholesale market opened from 3 AM to 8 AM. The Dimapur District Administration has established a community kitchen and food has been distributed with the help of NGOs. In Wokha, 547 stranded migrant workers have been provided food grains.
