Sumi Hoho organized a felicitation programme for the newly elected Sumi legislators in the recently concluded general election on 28th April 2023 at Zunheboto town hall.

President Sumi Hoho Nikheto Zhimomi, in his welcome address, congratulated all the winning candidates and encouraged them to be united at all times. He further requested the legislators to establish a B. Ed center at Zunheboto for the students' community and also the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Zunheboto.

Minister for Road and Bridges G. Kaito Aye stressed the importance of electing candidates for consecutive terms and having confidence in the candidates. He further said that the present MLAs are young and dynamic and have all practical experiences for bringing about all-round development and so urged the Sumis to have patience. He advised the students to not only depend on political leaders for their future but rather focus on quality education and prepare themselves for competitive exams.

Minister for PHED & Cooperation Jacob Zhimomi urged the Sumi to uplift the legacy of faithfulness and loyalty of their forefathers and to maintain the spirit of brotherhood in our every walk of life. He requested the Sumis to be responsible citizens during any developmental activities by not giving any hindrances and support the government to complete the works sooner.

Earlier the programme was chaired by Dr. Vihuto Asumi GS Sumi Hoho and invocation prayer by Kughavi Chishi, Pastor NCRC, greetings speech was delivered by Kashito Yeptho, President Sumi Kukami Hoho. A vote of thanks by Hokishe Kiba, VP Sumi Hoho, and the programme concluded with a prayer of blessing upon the legislators by Rev. Kughato Chophi, Executive Secretary of SBAK Nito Mount.
