Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) on the clean electoral roll and clean election campaign was held at Gen. Zuheto Memorial Town Hall Satakha on 10th December 2022. Along with the Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police, GBs and Village Council Chairman, colony GBs, and colony chairman of Suruhoto town, all unit officials of recognized political parties under 33 AC, various NGOs, and CSOs participated in the programme.
Superintendent of Police, Zunheboto, Vishal Chauhan IPS requested Satakha people to be a guiding light for Zunheboto district by making this election violence-free in their constituencies. He also requested the people to cooperate with the administration and appealed to everyone to work hand in hand with the administration so that no violence takes place. He also requested everyone to call him anytime if there was any problem and give his number so that anybody can reach him at any time.
He applauded the Satakha people's decision not to use any illegal arms and abusive substances during the election and assured them that the administration will support them in achieving that goal. He assured that the law will never distinguish between the ruling and opposition leader or MLA, small or big, new or old, and that anyone found indulging in any illegal activity will be brought before the law.
Deputy commissioner of Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, IAS applauded the way Satakha people maintain and keep the roads, town hall, and infrastructures neat and clean and keep the town peaceful and requested them to keep the peaceful spirit during election times too.
He requested the people to submit their legal arms to the administration soon and assured them that their guns will be safe. He also requested that government officials not be biased against any political party or person as everyone is equal before the law and not to campaign or work for any political parties. Lastly, he reminded Satakha people that it was Lt. Gen. Zuheto and Lt. Kughato's dream that the people of Satakha live in peace and harmony and so asked them to live to their former leaders' dreams.
Earlier short speeches were delivered by Hokugha, Chairman Satakha GBs association and L Toshiho Naga VCC Xuivi village. The programme was chaired by Kepeusing Meru, SDO (C) Satakha, a welcome note by M.S. Thangpong, ADC Satakha, vote of thanks by Hokato, the vice-chairman Satakha town council.
