As scheduled by the Government of Nagaland, Home Department, a tabletop exercise on earthquake was held in Kiphire on March 7 at DC's Conference Hall.

DC Kiphire, Wati Aier said that Nagaland and the entire Northeast region is located in a high seismic zone, an extremely high prone area of the earthquake. He feels that the earthquake tremors that are being felt now and then in Dimapur may signify a major earthquake in the forthcoming days. He urged the stakeholders to be equipped to minimize earthquake damages through the mock exercises.

Inspector and Commander 12 NDRF HQ. Arunachal Pradesh, Aben gave a briefing on mock exercises to be held on 8th March.
