In a special program organized by the Home Department's SAB Branch at the Home Commissioner's office chamber, Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha IAS handed out uniforms to the peons and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) of the Nagaland Civil Secretariat on November 1, 2023.

            During the event, Abhijit Sinha emphasized the importance of uniforms for the secretariat's peons and MTS staff, stating that it would promote better discipline and instill a greater sense of duty and responsibility among them. He also highlighted that these uniforms were provided free of cost and expected all peons and MTS personnel working in the secretariat to wear them while performing their office duties.

            Asela Sangtam, the Section Officer from the Home Department's SAB Branch, expressed hope that the introduction of uniforms would lead to a stronger sense of responsibility among the office peons.

            Yangtrali Sangtam, Vice President of the Grade IV Association, expressed gratitude to the Home Department for providing the uniforms. He emphasized that these uniforms would facilitate the easy identification of working staff within the secretariat.
