Retired Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Visὓtha Ltu, NCS died on 2nd March after many months under medical care around 6:00 pm in Naga Hospital Authority, Kohima. He was 77 years. He survived wife, two sons and three daughters and siblings.

Visὓtha Ltu was the first NCS officer amongst Kidima village. He served as LDA before qualified for Circular Officer (presently EAC) through NPSC. Ltu was the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Kohima with the sudden demise of Reddy, IAS. He served in different capacities like DC in Commissioner, Nagaland Office, Director of Youth Resources and Sports, Rural Development and Commissioner and Secretary in Cooperation.

            The sendoff service was held on 3rd March in his private resident Lower Forest Colony, Kohima. Later the mortal was taken to his ancestral Kidima village for burial on the same day.
