Wokha District Task Force held an emergency meeting to discuss the matter regarding the arrival of the stranded student’s and persons from outside the State and other important issues on COVID-19 at the DC’s conference hall, Wokha on 12th May 2020.
The district is expecting arrival of 622 persons from 26 states across the country. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner & chairman COVID-19 Wokha, Orenthung Lotha. During the meeting a local committee was constituted in order to ensure smooth functioning while receiving the stranded students and persons from outside the state.
Committee was constituted with the following members, Transportation committee Echungbemo Erui, EAC Convener 8132863735, Chophathung N. Tsopoe, DB, Shipemo Ezung, DB and Augustine, LDA as members.

On Health care system, CMO was instructed to come up with local Standard Operation procedure and to constitute Sub- Committee for health workers and formation of receiving party.
Later in the day the committee also visited the quarantine centres at GHSS for Men and Mt. Tiyi College for ladies to oversee the preparedness for the returnee.
