Observing the World Environment Day under the theme "Ecosystem Restoration", the Bayavü Area Panchayat celebrated the day in the form of plantation drive which was carried out within its colony on 5th June 2021. The plantation drive was conducted to spread the awareness on the importance of environmental issues, which needs to be taken care by everyone. 

During the drive the Bayavü Area Panchayat led by its Chairman, Khinyi Woch and other executive members came together and jointly planted number of fruit plants and also distributed hundreds of saplings within the colony. The fruit saplings were arranged by the Bayavü Area Panchayat and distribution of saplings was arranged by the Bayavü Youth Organisation.

Besides others, the plantation drive witnessed the participation of Bayavü Youth Organisation President, Neiphrelie Metha and Bayavü Sanitation Committee, Merangnungba Aier.
