Zisaji Presidency College Kiphire in collaboration with the Department of Forest, Land Resources, Water Resources, Horticulture, and PHED celebrated World Environment Day with the theme "Let's Do Better To Beat Plastic Pollution" on 5th June 2023.

Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, John Tsulise Sangtam said that World Environment Day is celebrated to have a healthy life and environment. He encouraged every individual to take it seriously by planting more trees to avoid soil erosion. Sangtam also added that the use of plastic has become a major problem so to tackle this issue let's create awareness among ourselves and take it as a serious responsibility.

The programme was chaired by Lipichum Sangtam DPO Department of Land Resources, welcome address by Purna Chandra Mishra Principal I/C, and a special presentation was done by the students followed by the inauguration of the spring box and a visit to contour trenches by the special guest.

Later ceremonial tree plantation was followed by all the HODs.
