YR&S INFORMS ON ADMISSION TO NATIONAL SPORTS ACADEMY

The Directorate of Youth Resources & Sports has informed that the National Sports Academy Management Committee, Khuman Lampak Sports Complex, Imphal, Manipur will be having a Selection Test/Recruitment of students for admission to the National Sports Academy, Imphal, Manipur for the session 2022-2023 in Class VI for the disciplines of Archery, Boxing, Judo, Taekwondo, Weightlifting and Wrestling.

Only students who have passed class V for State Board/appearing class V examination for CBSE Board (not below 10 years and not above 12 years) as on 1st April, 2022 are eligible to attend the selection test. The selection test will consist of a) Age verification and Medical fitness test, b) Physical efficiency test, c) Specific test in respective sports disciplines and d) written test. The admitted students will be taught general academic subjects from class VI to XII under CBSE with sports training side by side. The selected students will be provided free education/training, food and lodging and sports equipment/ kits.

The requisite prescribed form can be collected from the Office of the Directorate of Youth Resources and Sports, Nagaland, Kohima during office hours. Certificate of age verification and medical fitness test to be done from the Government Hospital (Naga Hospital, Kohima) which shall be produced at the time of submission of the form duly filled up.

Through telephonic conversation, the Principal, NSA, Imphal, Manipur informed that the last date of form submission is 31st May 2022. The remaining test will be conducted at Imphal, Manipur in the 1st or 2nd Week of June 2022. The remaining test shall be held at Imphal. Candidates will have to attend the test at their own expenses. However, they will be provided free accommodation at the sports complex in Imphal.
