The monthly meeting of the Zunheboto District planning and development board was held on 15th September 2021 at Sumi Hoho conference hall. Deputy Commissioner Peter Lichamo chaired the meeting which was attended by Minister Agriculture and Cooperation, G Kaito Aye; Advisor School Education and Chairman Zunheboto DPDB, K.T. Sukhalu and Advisor to Food and Civil Supply, LMCP and Taxes, Pukhayi Assumi. 

DPDB Chairman, his short speech, requested the Minister Agriculture to give necessary help to the farmers especially the corn crops cultivators as their entire crops was destroyed this year due to fall army worm and also asked the farmers to send the destroyed crops photos to the department so that they can compile and send it to the government. 

Minister G Kaito Aye in his speech asked the departments especially agri and allied to keep in touch with the farmers, understand their problems and bring it to the government. He said that he has apprised the government to look into the problems of the farmers and provide modern technology agricultural equipment. He also directed the departments to submit their performance or developmental activities in the next meeting while directing all heads of departments to be present in station. 

MLAs and various NGOs expressed their displeasure over the slow pace work of the NHIDCL and asked the company to expedite the work and also provide quality work according to the DPR. The General Manager, NHIDCL assured that they will try to best to complete the work in time and their best to provide quality work with public support but also expressed their problems including land compensation cases as the land compensation demand is very high. He requested the members to help them so that there will not be any obstacles for work completion in time.

PWD R&B department presented various departmental activities and the problems faced by the department i.e various bridges and roads which are ongoing.  The department also shared their problem i.e non payment of salaries of almost half of labours under Zunheboto division for more than two years.

Medical Department shared on the present Covid status to the members that till now 49237 people has been vaccinated taking the vaccinated percentage to around 65% and also added that that 13 villages has been declared as fully vaccinated village.
