DISTRICT LEVEL SVEEP PROGRAMME HELD AT PEREN

The office of the Deputy Commissioner Peren and District Election Officer organised a district level SVEEP programme on the theme 'Nothing like voting, I vote for sure' at Town Hall, Peren on 12th April 2024.

Speaking on the occasion as the guest of honour, DC & DEO Peren underlined the importance of voting rights and the eligible criteria. Stating that voting is a way to express one’s opinion, he advised the gathering to uphold the democratic traditions of the country and practice the dignity of free, fair and peaceful elections while exercising their franchise wisely and responsibly. He said that in a democracy the choice is up to the individual and further urged the people to cast their vote for the right candidate, while assuring to give full effort for the successful conduct of the forthcoming Lok Sabha Election.

Earlier, the function commenced with a welcome address delivered by the chairperson, ADC & ARO Peren, Japheth Woch, followed by special song on the title 'One Vote' presented by Kekudibe Nza. The programme also featured special awareness messages from District Icons namely, Miss Peren & SVEEP Icon, Kimkhailiu Pamai and Peren District PWDs Icon, Ngaugongbe, while voters pledge was led by ADC & ARO Peren, Japheth Woch. 

The awareness programme was held to encourage people for their enthusiastic participation and vote for the right person during election with free, fair and clean practices.
