School Education Department has notified for the information of all concerned that the Block Level Creative Writing Contest for students of Classes 6 to 12 for celebrating the Birth Anniversary of Guru Teg Bahadur will be held on 28th September 2021 from 10:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m through Online mode or Offline mode at selected Centre Schools across the State depending on the number of candidates registering for the contest.
Students who have secured the First Three Positions in each Class at any one of the School Level Creative Writing, Creative Presentations, Portfolio Activity, Role Play Online/Offline competitions held for celebrating the Birth Anniversary of Guru Teg Bahadur alone are eligible to take part at the Block Level Creative Writing contest. Head of Institutions/Teachers/Parents/Guardians shall register names of eligible students at https://forms.gle/Skq4Epu8W1J6gNub7 from 15th to 18th September 2021.
Students will have to submit Certificates issued by the respective School Heads to the effect that they have secured First/Second/Third position at the School Level Competitions held for celebrating the Birth Anniversary of Guru Teg Bahadur on the day of the Block Level Contest.
The District & State level competitions will be organised in the months of October & November 2021 respectively. Winners from the State level contest will participate at the National level contest which will be organized by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) in the month of January/February 2022 through MyGov Platform.
First, Second & Third position State Level Winners in each category will be given Certificates of Appreciation & Cash Awards of Rs.10,000/7,000/5,000 respectively. First, Second & Third position Block & District Level Winners will be given Certificates of Appreciation and all Block, District & State Level participants will be given Certificates of Participation by the Directorate of School Education, Kohima, Nagaland.
Further, Heads of all Govt. Higher Secondary/High/Middle Schools & Private Schools shall submit Reports of School Level Competitions conducted for celebrating the Birth Anniversary of Guru Teg Bahadur at the ‘CO-CURRICULAR REPORTS’ Tab provided at the School Monitoring Portal (https://school.dosenl.in) on or before 18th September 2021. Failure to submit the Reports within the stipulated time limit would render students from their schools ineligible for taking part at the Block Level Contest.
Themes for Block Level Creative Writing contest are given below:
1. Category I: Classes VI to VIII.
Theme: Childhood of Guru Teg Bahadur (Essay 400 – 500 words)
2. Category II: Classes IX & X.
Theme: Life of Guru Teg Bahadur (Essay 500 – 700 words)
3. Category III: Classes XI & XII.
Theme: Journey of Guru Teg Bahadur (Essay 700 – 1000 words)
