District Administration Mon in collaboration with DEF Mon organized Har Ghar Tiranga Walkathon from Local Ground to Council Hall, Mon on 11th August 2022. The walkathon was flagged off by MLA, N. Thongwang Konyak. 

Upon reaching the Council Hall, a programme was held where the MLA paid homage to the freedom fighters, while also expressing his gratitude to all the participants especially the students. He stressed on the importance and the significance of the national flag. 

DC Mon, Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS highlighted the significance of the colours in the national flag. He stated that the walkathon was held to spread awareness on Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and thanked all the participants. 

SP Mon, Imnalensa IPS stated that this experience would be a lifelong memory for all the participants to cherish. He stated that the aim of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is to make all the citizens identify and be one with the national flag. 

The participants also took the Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan Pledge led by Additional SP, Mon, Ado Yanlem, who expressed hope that the programme would ignite a feeling of patriotism within the participants. 

The programme was chaired by EAC Mon, Molosangla Ozukum, while the opening and closing prayers were pronounced by Pastor, MTABA, Lipok Pongen and Pastor, PBCM, Banwang. The event also witnessed a special number by ABC Atzing K Konyak.
