Chen celebrated 76th Independence Day at mini SDO (Civil) Complex Chen Town on 15th August 2022. EAC Mon, Khenpa Konyak unfurled the National Flag, took Rashtriya Salute from NVG Chen Town and read out the Independence Day Speech. Govt.

As a part of the celebration, there was the hosting of the National Flag in all the Govt. Offices, Education institutions and in every house. There was also a cleanliness drive; a mass Social work was conducted on 13th August 2022 to celebrate Independence Day.
