Advisor Youth Resources and Sports, Er. Zale Neikha unfurled the National flag and delivered his speech at the 76th Independence Day celebration as chief guest at the Local ground Chiephobozou HQ on 15th August 2022.

Other major highlights of the programme included a march past by parade contingents of 4th NAP Thizama,10th IRB Zhadima, Ex-Servicemen Chiechama, G.H.S.S Chiechama, G.H.S Nerhema and D.B.S Chiephobozou. 

During the celebration cultural presentation were presented by Tuophema Village, Chiechama Village, Nerhema Village and Chiephobozou Town.

To mark the occasion, an exhibition stalls were also put up, which was inaugurated by the Chief Guest. In the evening programme a tug of war Competition between the Chiephobozou Town Colonies followed by beating of retreat.
