Peren held its District Planning & Development Board meeting at Peren Government College on 6th March 2025 under the Chairmanship of DC & Vice Chairman, DPDB Peren, Hiazu Meru.
Speaking at the meeting, Hiazu Meru apprised the members that DPDB Peren has adopted Peren Government College. He highlighted the efforts made by various departments that contributed to the adoption of Peren Government College by the DPDB and appealed for more departments to lend aid in any manner to help the college obtain NAAC Accreditation. He also informed the house about the Governor's visit to Tening on 20th March 2025 and requested all the HODs to be present positively. He also directed the departments having offices at the District Headquarter to clean up their respective office compounds in order to avoid incidences of forest fires.
Key agendas such as adoption of Peren Government College; adoption of GPS, New Peren and Green Peren Outlet at Jalukie & Peren were discussed.
The house also discussed and approved the proposal for inclusion of infrastructure development of CHC Jalukie and proposal for modification of area for Peren Town Council.
ADPM (DDMU), Ruuvilie Kotsu gave a presentation on Village Reduction Poverty Plan through a PowerPoint, while Rural Development Department and Government Polytechnic, Peren were entrusted to present their departmental activities in the next meeting.
New board members, Akumenla Aier, Project Officer, DRDA Peren and Kelungyizaile Rangkau, BDO Peren were introduced at the meeting. The meeting was also attended by teaching faculties and students community of Peren Government College.
