In pursuance of this Department Notification No.AR-15/l/85(Pt) dated 08.07.2010, the Social Welfare Department is re-designated as the Nodal Department for all matters relating to the implementation of The Prohibition of Employment as Manual Scavengers and their Rehabilitation Act, 2013 including all the activities relating to the Safai Karamcharis/Sanitary & Insanitary Workers.

Yollow Konyak a dedicated leader who worked tirelessly for the welfare of the people and that his passing will be an irreplaceable loss.
