The Directorate of School Education has notified that in pursuant to the Judgment dated 29/05/2026 passed by the Supreme Court of India in Civil Appeal No. 1385/2025, State of U.P. Vs. Anjuman Ishaat-e-Taleem Trust & Ors and the directives issued by the Government of Nagaland vide letter No. DSE/LEGAL/10-293/2026/3678 dated 29/07/2026, it is notified for the information of all concerned that:

Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS, has officially set up a Board of Administrators to manage the Principal Market Yard in Mokokchung. This group will handle the market's daily business until a permanent committee takes over.

The move follows guidelines from the Nagaland Agricultural Produce and Livestock Marketing Act of 2020.

The 80th Independence Day celebration was observed at Naginimora sub-division, Mon with ADC, Naginimora, N. Zubenthung Ngullie, NCS as special guest on 15th August 2026.

The ADC hoisted the National flag, took Rashtriya Salute and read out the Independence Day Speech. The program was attended by the Government employees, GBs, DB, and the general public.

The 80th Independence Day was celebrated at Public Ground, Tamlu Sub-Division, Longleng district on August 15, 2026. The celebration begins with the hoisting of the National Flag at all Government Offices.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Tamlu, T. Lankonsen Tsanglao, NCS, hoisted the National Flag followed by the National Anthem and delivered the Independence Day speech.
