The Directorate Of School Education (DoSE) in pursuant to the directions issued by the National Human Rights Commission in Case/File No. 7/90/0/2026 pertaining to regulate weight of Students’ School Bags, it is hereby reiterated that all School Managements (Government & Private) shall ensure that the directives/guidelines issued by the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) vide Notification No. 55/2021 dated 19/07/2021 are complied with in letter and spirit by all concerned.
ADC ATOIZU ISSUES TRAVEL ADVISORY
The Office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Atoizu, has issued a travel advisory in view of the ongoing road widening, earth excavation, and drainage works along the Pukhobokita–KPA–Asukhuto–Coco Road below Emlomi village.
To ensure smooth and timely execution of the project without interruptions, the stretch from KPA Junction to Yesholuto–Emlomi–Litsami–Pukhobokita will remain diverted for a period of three months, from March 1 to May 31, 2026.
PROPOSAL TO RENAME AO-SETTSÜ VILLAGE TO SETTSÜ VILLAGE; DC MOKOKCHUNG INVITES OBJECTIONS
Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS, has issued a public notification regarding a proposal to rename Ao-Settsü Village to Settsü Village.
The proposal, initiated by the Village Council, pertains to the village situated under the administrative jurisdiction of the Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC), Ongpangkong Circle under Mokokchung District.

Additional Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman SDPDB, Pughoboto, Meyazungba Jamir, NCS, has informed that the monthly SDPDB meeting for the month of March is scheduled on 6th March 2026 at 11:00 AM at New Administrative Complex Conference Hall Pughoboto, Zunheboto.

DIPR DESIGNATES AA, PIO, APIO
The Department of Information and Public Relations, Nagaland has informed that in pursuance of Section 5(1) of the Right to Information Act, 2005 and in the interest of public service, the Governor of Nagaland is pleased to reconstitute and designate the following officers as Appellate Authority (AA), Public Information Officer (PIO) & Assistant Public Information Officer (APIO) in the Department of Information & Public Relations with immediate effect.
DoSE INFORMS INSTITUTIONS
The Directorate of School Education has notified for the information of all Heads of Schools (both Government and Private) that no student shall be denied admission on the ground of non-availability of an Aadhaar Card.
All concerned are directed to ensure strict compliance with this notification.
