The Deputy Commissioner, Longleng has informed that due to incessant rain, it has caused damaged to National Highways along Longleng-Changtongya, Longleng-Tamlu, Longleng-Aboi (Mon), Longleng-Tuensang routes, severely affecting and completely cutting off inter-District & intra-Village connectivity across Longleng District;

District Administration Noklak has informed that the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of 56 A/C, Noklak and 57A/C, Thonoknyu that a one-day training programme in connection with Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Roll w.r.t 01.10.2026 as the qualifying date is scheduled on 23rd July 2026 in GHSS, Noklak at 11.00 AM.

The Directorate of Technical Education, Nagaland has notified that in continuation of this office Notification NO.DTE/ESTT-2/02/2023-24, dated 14th July 2026, the CUET- UG Counselling scheduled on 23rd July 2026 has been postponed to 28th July 2026(Tuesday) at 10:30 AM in the Conference Hall of the Directorate of Technical Education, Kohima taking into consideration the interest of the student/candidates.

            In view of the onset of the monsoon season and the forecast of heavy rainfall in the coming days, the Deputy Commissioner and Chairman of the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Kohima, B. Henok Buchem, NCS, has issued a public advisory urging citizens to exercise caution and strictly adhere to safety guidelines to prevent monsoon-related disasters.

In view of the continued heavy rainfall and resulting landslide in multiple locations under Mon district and flooding in several parts in Tizit and Naginimora sub-division, public are advised to remain alert and take necessary precautions.

            The general public is requested to:

            1)      Avoid venturing into Hooded areas and stay away from landslide prone areas.

In view of the incessant rainfall and the consequent rise in water levels causing severe flooding in and around Naginimora Sub-Division, and considering the imminent danger posed to public safety, the general public is hereby advised to strictly adhere to the following safety measures: -
