FACILITATION CELL OPENED AT KOHIMA FOR STRANDED PEOPLE

Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie has informed that the Government will allow movements of local/indigenous people who are stranded and in distress and who desires to return back to their Home Districts or Villages.

The following actions are therefore initiated to ensure seamless movement as per laid down standard protocols.

SAYO INFORMS ON VEHICULAR MOVEMENT ALONG NH 29

The Southern Angami Youth Organisation (SAYO), in a press release on 5th May, 2020, stated that for precautionary measures against COVID-19 and welfare of general public, it had earlier issued a notification on 16th April, 2020 restricting vehicular movement along NH-29, carrying essential commodities for neighbouring State Manipur.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFIES ON FUNCTIONING OF OFFICE

As per the new guidelines on lockdown measures which has come into effect from 04/05/2020 throughout the State vide Order NO.CSO/GAB-l/COM/GEN-l/2020 dated 04/05/2020 issued by the Office of the Chief Secretary, Nagaland; the Civil Secretarial and Directorates in Kohima and Dimapur and all the Government offices in the Districts are to function with attendance of officers of Deputy Secretary and above in the Secretariat, and Deputy Director and above in the Directorate

The Additional Chief Secretary & Finance Commissioner & Convenor Empowered Group, Nagaland, Sentiyanger Imchen, IAS has informed that the Government has allowedInter-District movement for stranded persons of locals/indigenous who desire to return back to their home districts/villages during the period from 7thMay 2020 to 9thMay 2020.

TRAINING ON COVID-19 AT MON

Medical Department Mon organised a training on 5th April 2020 for SDRF on COVID-19 and dead body management of COVID-19 positive patient with Dr.S.Ngampa Sangme MD PMR, Medical Officer, District hospital Mon as the resource person. Training on Containment plan for awws, ashas and village task force members have been completed in all the blocks including mock drills on COVID-19 while in some blocks it is underway.
