Team Noksa organised an event to celebrate World Photography Day at D Cafe Kohima on 19th August 2021 with retired Director IPR, Limawati Ao as the Special Guest.
Limawati Ao speaking at the event encouraged the photographers community of Kohima to continue following their passion of photography not just as a means of livelihood but also as a means to promote the rich cultural heritage of the Nagas as well as the beautiful and picturesque landscapes of Nagaland to the rest of the world. He further urged the younger generation and the upcoming photographers to take up photography seriously as photography in recent years have become a genuine profession and many can sustain their livelihood through photography.
Advisor TAFMA, Theja Meru also spoke at the event and congratulated the organizers for successfully hosting the event, the first of its kind in Kohima so far.  He said that photography formed a vital part of the entertainment industry and encouraged the photographers to work hard and continue to promote various arts of the state.
Suchamayang Kichu speaking on behalf of Team Noksa said that the objective of the event was to bring all photographers of Kohima together to celebrate "The World Photography Day" and also to provide a platform for the photographers to showcase their work and art to the people.
The event also witnessed a photo exhibition where photographers from Kohima got the opportunity to not just showcase but also sell their photographs.
