In view of the rise and surge of COVID-19 in the district, as decided during the District Task Force (DTF) meeting, the DTF in collaboration with the medical department conducted random testing to contain, assess and take steps to stop further spreading in the community.

The State Government has permitted the re-opening of the campuses and holding of regular classes in all the colleges and technical institutions in Nagaland with effect from 26th July 2021 subject to all the teachers and non-teaching staff having been fully vaccinated (taken both the doses) against COVID-19, or having taken the 1st (first) dose of vaccine against COVID- 19 and at least 15 (fifteen) days have passed since taking the 1st (first dose);

The Directorate of School Education has notified for the information of all concerned that new admissions for Class XI in all the 44 (forty four) Govt. Higher Secondary Schools functioning in the State of Nagaland will commence from 29th July 2021 and the following directives have been issued for strict compliance.
